This weekend we have been cleaning and organizing the house, and starting to get packed. I've been getting Lia's stuff together for packing for a few weeks now, but now I mean BUSINESS! I am slowly getting our laundry done and trying to fit all of our stuff and Lia's into two suitcases which cannot weigh more than 44 lbs. each...hmmm...thank goodness it is summer, so we can pack light! :)
I also got a pedicure, a haircut, and a brow wax, as I figure it could be awhile before I get to the salon again. The Vietnamese women at the salon were SO excited to hear I was adopting from a little girl from China! They gave me a *special* pedicure (complete with little flowers on my toes), and gave me the *deluxe* foot spa treatment for free (awesome!) They also would not let me leave before promising to bring Lia in to meet them once we are home. DEAL!
My mom arrives tomorrow. She and my uncle will be staying at the house while we are gone, taking care of the dogs. It also happens to be my mom's birthday tomorrow, so we will treat her to dinner and have a little celebration before we leave on Tuesday. It's fun that my mom's birthday is tomorrow and my dad's birthday is next Monday. This year they are getting a grandchild as a birthday present! August is always a happy month for our family, so now we will have even one more reason to celebrate - our Family Day with Lia!

can't wait to see Lia's photos! And I think you should post a photo of the suitcases - I've always wanted to know how people pack that much into their suitcases without going over-weight.
