I know, TMI...but Miss Lia hadn't had a BM since Sunday, so we were starting to get concerned. We made a trip to a nearby grocery for prune juice and also found a baby store that actually sells Gerber baby food in jars (a miracle!), so we were able to pick up some jars of prunes and peaches as well - and around 7 pm tonight - we had poop! YAY!!!
At the grocery store shopping for prunes. The grocery store is "small" by Chinese standards, but covers three floors, which you travel by flat escalator with your cart (or in this case, stroller)...

Prunes...yummy! |
Most of today was spent in our hotel room (the Xi'an Sheraton for those who wondered) playing and eating a variety of fruit - and Lia's personality continued to open up and let us in. Particularly after she finally went to the bathroom, she was obviously feeling SO much better - she was dancing around the room to her Ni Hao, Kai-Lan DVD and making funny little faces for us. Here are the photos from today:

Uh, dad? Your shoes are taking up too much of my play space. |

More please... |

She LOVES this little yellow bowl. It came with her from the foster home,
and is clearly her "security" item. We take it everywhere with us! |

Breaking it down to the Ni Hao Kai-Lan theme song. |

Her favorite new toy? The ice bucket. Go figure. |

Fix my bottle daddy! |

Smiles for mommy. |

Whoo Hoo - you are no more officially a Mom and Dad than when your watching out for poops. TMI, maybe but any Mom and Dad can totally relate. Loving, loving, loving the updates and feeling so close to you guys. HUGS
LOVE IT! It is so great when their tummy works and they feel so much better. Glad things are going well and she is loving KaiLan. Continuing to send you many great thoughts and hugs your way.
Yay...PooP!!! I remember that too. Who would have thought a BM would be so welcoming...teehee! So glad to see that bright shining face everyday. You can tell she is relaxing more and more and realizing that these two people that she is with right now aren't to bad..hehe. Keep up the good work. Pinch those cute dimpled cheeks for Alina and me.
Cheers,
Kim and Alina
poop is no longer TMI - it's now a major topic of conversation!
She's too cute! I'm so happy for you!
yay for poop! love seeing her pics... she is such a ham. and kids ALWAYS go for the unusual household items to play with rather than any toy you ever buy or give them!
