Tagged! (trying this again...)

Not sure what happened, but my original post got screwed up - so trying this again!

I've been tagged by Kim over at Journey to Megan Jean! This is my first tag. The rules are simple…Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Ok, here goes....

My 8 facts/habits...Fact #1 – I am currently mom to the best mini schnauzer on the planet – Luna, the Wonder Schnauzer. She is all black, 4 yrs old and the most calm, loving, well-behaved terrier you will ever meet!

Fact #2 – I go out for Mexican food every Friday night. EVERY WEEK. I kid you not. I depend on it. I look forward to it. I’m not ashamed of it. It’s a standing date and I love it.

Fact #3 – I’m a west coast girl at heart. Colorado is beautiful, but I miss the water. I miss ferry boats. I miss the smells of seaweed and sandy beaches. I grew up in Seattle and I’ve been gone 12 years now, but I still miss it. Five of the best, most memorable days in my life have been spent at SEAFAIR. When I die, I want to be cremated and have my ashes sprinkled over Lake Washington so I am forever part of the Seafair tradition (not joking).

Fact #4 – I am a spelling, grammar, and trivia FREAK. My fave TV show currently is “Cash Cab” (Discovery Network). Steve is constantly amazed by the weird factoids that I somehow have retained from odd sources throughout my life.

Fact #5 – I love reading pretty much anything. Including (but not limited to) newspapers, magazines, chick lit, suspense novels, adoption research, assorted blogs, MySpace pages, personal ads, and junk mail (not always in that order).

Fact #6 – I love pedicures. I never had a professional one until I was 32 and now I am HOOKED. Aaaaah, the joys of having someone else massage your feet! I look forward to sharing this treat with my daughter once she is old enough (see why I needed a GIRL?)

Fact #7 – I love what I do for a living. Working at a pediatric hospital, I get to help with issues that affect the children and families that we serve. I realize I am lucky enough to feel like what I do actually helps change the world in a positive way.

Fact #8 – I am thrilled to be adopting my baby daughter, Lia. It is definitely a lesson in patience, but I am ready for the challenge and excited about the trip to China!

OK – so those who have been tagged – you know who you are…happy blogging and have a great weekend!

Fact #3 speaks for me too. I've always had a longing for a place like Nantucket, Mass. or Connecticut - basically a New England setting with lots of trees and snow in the winter. But if New England is beyond my reach, I hope Washington state isn't. I would LOVE to live near the woods (or in the woods) with starlit nights, rainy days and long and narrow roads. Please say there is a place like that there! Right now I live in Las Vegas, and if I hit Megabucks, you won’t my feet from how fast I scat from here (lol)! The only crappy part would be leaving all my friends.

Good luck with your adoption.

Take care
Tom

After spending Seafair Sunday on Lake Washington with you last summer...I know you're not kidding about spreading your ashes there! HAHA! That gave me a good laugh though! Mexican EVERY Friday? Let me guess Las Fajitas? YUM!

Honestly, 100% the best fajitas that I've ever had. Las Fajitas, our own little secret in Denver. And I've tested some fajita's - the gut knows, and aunty tracy confirmed it too! TAG - Yo It!

Wow! We have a lot in common, except that I miss Colorado, being that I now live in Michigan.
