Last night Steve and I went out for our pre-Xmas "date night". We went out for dinner at a nice restaurant downtown and took in some light displays like this one above at the train station.
We also have a tradition (actually more of a weird "habit") of taking photos of our food when it arrives presented in beautiful display. No, we don't get out much - lol. Actually, we do - we just rarely go out to restaurants where such work goes into the presentation! Luckily, we were sitting in a semi-private booth, so no one could really see us taking photos with Steve's phone:
This particular dessert was a handmade ice cream "bowl" molded from toasted almonds and then dipped in chocolate, with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, and fresh whipped cream on top. OMG! YUM. I think I ate like 8,000 calories last night...but it was SO worth it.

Now I'm wishing for ice cream- dang that looks good!
YUM! I think more of us should take photos of the gorgeous food presentations! It certainly doesn't last long....
